Daniel Oberti

Ceramic Sculptor Daniel Oberti lived and maintained his studio in the rural meadows of western Sonoma County. After completing a Master of Arts degree under Herbert Sanders, Oberti began a successful exhibition and teaching career. His work is expressive yet refined, embodying mythological symbolism, exquisite figurative characters, and Old World Craftsmanship with a high level of authority, creativity, and integrity. Oberti’s recent works blend his early studies of Japanese form with his current interest in his own Mediterranean heritage. Recent travels in France, Italy, Egypt, Crete, and Athens inspire and stimulate his fresh perspective on ancient wisdom. Through his work, Oberti embraces universal concepts about time, space, reverence, and beauty. His pieces evoke a sense of harmony that reflects humanity's relationship to symbols and forms that uplift spirits, and instill a tenor of contemplative solace.
