Pamela Merory Dernham is an Oakland based artist who exhibits nationally and whose work is collected internationally. Her inspiration has always been the human figure, probing the intricacies and ambiguities of interpersonal interactions. While based on the figure, the work continues to evolve in the direction of abstraction. Each sculpture is less literal in the presentation of the body and more a play of the forms of the body against each other to suggest physical and psychological tensions. Merory Dernham earned her Master of Fine Arts Degree at the California College of the Arts.
