Comedian Anjelah Johnson wows a packed house, take a look in the PD photo gallery…

Anjelah Johnson made her first Santa Rosa appearance at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts on Friday, October 19th.

“It was a fun and successful evening, I wish we could have booked Anjelah for multiple shows,” says Chrissy Hall, who manages entertainment programs for the non-profit Arts Center.  The one-night-only performance was sold out, with nary a seat to spare.

A San Jose, CA native, Johnson is known for her comedic viral videos. “Nail Salon” was one of the most viewed YouTube and Google videos of 2007, and, now more than 7 million hits later, Johnson has a devoted following in comedy clubs everywhere, online communities, colleges, churches and television. She was on the cast of Fox’s long running sketch show “MADtv,” as a series regular. Johnson got her start as a Pop Warner cheerleader and continued cheering through high school, college and professionally, for the Oakland Raiders. As an Oakland Raiderette, she was named “Rookie of the Year” and performed in Super Bowl XXXVII.
