Please join us in an online standing ovation for our 300-plus volunteers!

A special congratulations goes out to Judi Webb, who is president of the Luther Burbank Memorial Foundation Guild. Judi, who is noted for her consistently calm and effective leadership, was named Volunteer of the Year at the annual volunteer picnic last week. Judi represents a troupe of guild members who serve beverages in the lobby and, yes, they donate their time…as do all of the Center’s ushers!  All together the Center’s 300-plus volunteers contribute more than $270,000 in services annually.

The Center also named its Employee of the Year last week and this year it’s a tie!  The award will be shared by Candice Day and Jennifer Brown. Candice is what we call an “unsung hero,” filling many roles effectively and quietly behind the scenes, in addition to her official duties as executive assistant. Jennifer is an events manager extraordinaire, an excellent juggler of details who leads by example and empowers her team to make decisions.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to Judi, Candice and Jennifer!
